Federal Consoliation Loan

AHELA has suspended accepting new Federal Consolidation Loan applications as of May 21st, 2008. Applications received prior to this date will be processed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Severe legislative cuts and the current credit market conditions have caused AHELA to suspend the federal student loan consolidation program. Instead of Consolidation, AHELA encourages borrowers who are interested in lowering their monthly payments, to consider an extended or graduated repayment plan. Please contact your servicer directly to arrange a new repayment plan.

AHELA reserves the right to the right to modify or discontinue loan programs at any time without notice.
