Recent legislative changes have eliminated the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) of which AHELA was a participant. All new federal student loans will be provided by the Department of Education through the Direct Loan Program. Although AHELA will no longer be able to provide federal student loans, we will continue to provide excellent customer service to schools, students, and parents who have student loans with us and continue to service these loans.

AHELA remains committed to providing outreach services, debt management education, default prevention services, and financial literacy training. We also look forward to announcing additional specific products and programs to benefit Arizona students in the coming months. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact us directly at info@ahela.org.
