AHELA Nurses Scholarship Program
This scholarship is to address Arizona's nurse shortage by supporting nursing education students. Nursing students will be selected based on academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in nursing organizations and community activities related to health care.
Applicants must:
- be a high school senior graduating from an accredited Arizona high school or a college student attending an accredited Arizona college
- be eligible and plan to attend a state of Arizona four year college, university or community college in Fall 2007
- be enrolled as a full-time student as certified by your school
- have a minimum 2.50 Grade Point Average
- be academically motivated as determined by a school transcript
- submit information regarding academic achievement, community service, and/or involvement with professional organizations related to healthcare
- live and work in Arizona for 3 years after completion of program of study

Award:
- One year scholarship
- $1,000 maximum
scholarship for 4 Arizona College Students
*An attempt will be made to select finalists from different counties within Arizona.
